I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at Rochester Subaru! From the moment I called in a panic with my AC not working and having a sick kid they made sure that they got me in one of their loner vehicles till they were able to look at my car and figure out what was going on. Not even a week later I was back in my own vehicle with the AC working like it was a new car. From the moment I arrived in tears before a stressful doctors appointment with my son to the moment I returned in happy tears for how my track team I coach did at state they were there for the highs and lows. Honestly they are more than just a dealership or a shop, they want to make sure you are taken care of and truly love what you drive! I hope the next time I am back, I am looking at upgrading my vehicle.

They actually took the time to get in the car with me for a test drive to confirm what I hearing so they could convey that to the technicians. The service advisor was great at communicating to let me know the status of the repairs. There was no real pressure to upsell any maintenance items but did offer so that was nice as well. Overall a great experience and will be back if and when my vehicle has issues again.

Above and beyond!!! I just got off work and when I started driving my vehicle was making an awful noise and I thought something was horribly broken. I pulled into the service bay, (no prior appointment), David was able to quickly diagnose my issue and thankfully it was nothing more than a rock in the tire! He was able to fit me in quickly to take care of it and I was on my way. Thank you!! You Rock! :)

Subaru is always very good at the dealership. Agents were busy inside still one agent came outside and checked me and said that he will clear and get me spot soon which actually he did. Ricky and Josh took their presious time to check the vehicle and actually compared my concerns with another same model vehicle. Very good service, thank you

This was our first experience with the Service Department at Subaru in Rochester, MN. It was for an oil change, tire rotation and general fluid check. All was completed within an hour. Staff was informative and courteous. The waiting room was comfortable for the wait. All went as planned.

I brought my car in for service today and received excellent, professional, and friendly care from John Shaw, Certified Service Advisor. I was kept apprised of the work throughout the process. The stay in the dealership's customer lounge was very pleasant - good Wi-Fi, lots of complimentary snacks, soda, and water. The place overall and the men's room in particular are kept very clean.

No one ever wants to hear they need new tires on a newer car with less than 32K miles. John did everything possible to make it as painless as possible. Overall was very satisfied with the work done at the dealership.

Showed up today for a routine service in which David attended to me and was super helpful answering my questions and setting me up with a rental for the day. The mechanic who worked on my car was awesome giving detailed explanation on what was being done and possible things to be on the look out for in the future. Definitely continue bringing my car in to get serviced! 10/10

I was on a road trip when my Subaru was due for its first service. They didn’t have any appointments for over a week, so I did the drop-in service. They told me when I dropped it off that it might be three hours because they’d been very busy. My car was ready in just under three hours. They obviously emphasize Customer Service because they took great pains to make sure that everyone was comfortable as they waited, and at the end they explained everything they had checked and done to my car. Everything worked fine afterwards and they gave my car a complementary car wash.

Subaru Rochester has treated us well on more than one occasion. Purchasing two cars, my only advice would be to ask for your personalized interest numbers. Everyone was very nice when we've gone for maintenance. I arrived an hour earlier than expected and they got us in no problem. Went to another mechanic first and told I had a transmission problem. They quoted me $10,000.Went Subaru fully prepared to need a new transmission and work on doing a payment plan.Not only did they realize the other mechanic was wrong but the were able to fix for much $1,600. They got my car done within a day. Mechanics were very up front with me and made sure I got my car back right away.

Elliot was super. I have never experienced a car salesman as thorough and accommodating as Elliott. Answered all questions. Toured us through the whole facility. Jake and Jeremiah also so personable and helpful. No pressure from anyone. We drove out with a Crosstrek Wilderness. We love it. Just took our Crosstrek in for its first oil change (which was free). I was in and out in about 30 minutes. This dealership really makes the extra effort to make you happy.

They communicate via text which was convenient during my work day. Their van service is very convenient. When I’ve had service that has taken a few days I’ve been able to rent a car.

I called to get parts to do work myself and was told I had an extended warranty so took my car in and they took care of the issue at no cost to me. I love my forester and was very pleased with the whole process as I purchased it. Now a little over a year later and even with the issue of a broken down car I am even more of a Subaru lover. All the people at Penz Subaru are great to work with will deal with them again and will gladly tell others to give them an opportunity .Great job.

It was easy to book an appointment online. I was welcomed in to the garage on time. They did a thorough assessment of my car as well as the maintenance that I had asked for. The carwash was down. They gave me a complete readout of all the systems within in my car and their status. Very satisfied.

Buy a car from Esad. Sent him a text on Thursday night telling him what I wanted and minutes later he had something. On Friday we did all the paperwork virtually and by 2:00 pm Saturday, I test drove the car, signed the papers and was in my way home, the proud new owner of a Subaru. Esad is a pro and will get you what you want.

This was my last FREE oil-change at @ 12,000 miles including 15-pt inspection and tire rotation. I appreciated that it included a live video made by the technician as he went thru all 15 pts with helpful explanation. In addition, since I live on a gravel road, I asked for the cabin filter to be changed, and it was. David said it would take about an hour to get it done and that proved accurate. We went over everything afterward and I was satisfied. I went on with my day promptly. Their shop prices are reasonable....considering they are a dealership!

Isiah was a great host in looking for a used car. It was an early Monday morning and I had called ahead to make sure it was still there. He had it washed and right up front for me in 20 minutes when I arrived. Knew his vehicle even though it was not a Subaru and was a great co-pilot during the test drive. WE LOVED THE NEW STYLE SO MUCH WE ENDED UP TRADING OURS IN WITH A LOWER INTEREST RATE AND THE PAYMENT ACTUALLY WENT DOWN SOME. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! THE NEW OUTBACK IS AN AMAZING CAR AND WE LOVE IT!! We had a great experience at Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester, MN. Our sales person was Elliot and he was AMAZING! No high pressure sales…just a genuine interest in what we wanted/needed and a desire to ensure he got us into the right vehicle. It’s now been about a month since our purchase (a 2026 Subaru Forester - Wilderness Edition) so we’ve completed the sale, completed financing, and had our first experience with the parts department (for some add-ons), and Service Center (for installation). It’s the little things that make a big difference and Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester leaves no stone unturned. From door attendants who greet you and open the door for you every time you visit, to service center employees who make themselves available to you during their lunch — this place is top notch! If the rest of our ownership experience continues this way, I can confidently say that our first Subaru purchase won’t be our last! Collins was the service writer I worked with, and I am deeply impressed. Subaru begins with a series of questions, pinpointing your tastes, values, and desires. You are guided, not led, through this process. My answers mattered. When other dealerships made me feel poor, unimportant, and like they were doing ME a huge favor, Collins and the team at Rochester Subaru made me feel important, and they assured me that they will help me find a way to meet my needs and desires. They made this not only easy, but enjoyable. They have a great product and an even better team. And fun sidebar: a customer came in to leave them a tub of homemade cookies while I was there. They have, clearly, made an impression on more than just me. Even if you are Subaru-skeptical, I think you should at least shop here once the next time you are looking for a car, just so you know how a customer can and should be treated.

Car shopping can be stressful. But Subaru of Rochester made it a remarkably pleasant experience. The staff we dealt with included Jacob Hansen, Jeremiah Steege, Collins Kiyaga, and Amy Anderson. They were all friendly and professional. Jacob and Collins in Sales patiently explained the features of the 2026 Forester we were interested in. Amy discussed the assistance offered to learn about all the technology that comes with vehicles these days. Finally, Jeremiah went through all of the optional protection packages and processed our paperwork efficiently. Unlike many dealers, Jacob at Subaru of Rochester immediately provided us with the out-the-door price via email before we drove the two hours to Rochester. Also, there were no forced dealer add-ons, which still happens at other dealers. Getting the OTD price and no forced add-ons were HUGE to us! If you're looking for a vehicle, we highly recommend Subaru of Rochester. They earned our business with the perfect balance of promoting their products, but with a low-pressure approach. Great job to all!

I don't normally have my 2019 Subaru Forester serviced by Rochester Subaru. But this was something that was covered by an Extended Warranty. I am very pleased with the service I received. I was treated like a human being as opposed to a number and "one more job we have to get done today." John in the service department was especially helpful - getting me a loaner car since the job was going to take all day. They recommended two other service items but I was not prepared to do them so I said no thanks. That was the end of it, no pressure, no BS about the car blowing up the minute I drove it off the lot if they didn't fix those other items. They said the work would be covered by the extended warranty and it was. There was no "surprise" you do have to pay postage on the parts or something equally ridiculous. I would highly recommend Rochester Subaru service.

Everybody was very congenial and helpful. You do need more than one person who does the final sales pitch, signing papers, and accepting payment. Granted, we had a longer wait than what is usual, but you should have someone else who can also do this part. We had to wait over two and a half hours to do the final step before we were completely finished and could leave.

Got to work with Elliot last week. He was helpful without being pushy and was able to get me a fair value on my trade in and got me into a nice 2024 Crosstrek. The whole process was pretty easy and Elliot was responsive to questions. If I had to complain about anything, I guess an owners manual and a full tank of gas when I picked it up would have been nice, but those are pretty minor things in my opinion. I wouldn't hesitate to do more business here in the future. *Edit* The owners manual actually shipped to my house a few days after I took the car, so that's pretty cool. Thanks again!

I used to go to Dahl Subaru in La,Crosse because it is close, but after a few bad experiences I go to Penz. They take care of everything like its supposed to be. It is worth the extra hour of travel for me to go to Roch. And be taken care of like a proper subaru owner. Thanks Penz team.
