I had an excellent experience leasing my 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid from Subaru of Rochester! The entire process was incredibly easy and smooth from start to finish, and I never felt pressured at any point. What really stood out was how stress-free everything was compared to a recent, frustrating experience I had not long ago at Burnsville Walser Honda. The difference was night and day, Subaru of Rochester respected my time, communicated clearly, and made the process genuinely enjoyable. They even delivered my vehicle to me over an hour away! The paperwork barely took any time, maybe 5-10 minutes to sign, making it quick and painless. I even was got to talk some D&D with the gentleman who delivered it. If you want a dealership that's straightforward, low pressure and easy to work with, I can't recommend Subaru of Rochester enough. Everyone I worked with was great! (Jake, Brandon, and I'm horrible with names so forgot the delivery drivers names, but am going to try to find them and will update if i can.) Thanks so much! I wasn't expecting to get the same vehicle as my wife, but I'm loving it! One on the right is mine

Outstanding service. Tech was communitive and fixed my issue with ease. Want to update this. 12/29/2025 Had another issue. Had to go to dealership because it was an ignition issue. After an initial quote of 876, the most awesome tech Ricky called and said he had fixed the problem and saved me 700 bucks. Good lookin out Ricky and the Subaru of Rochester team.

Drove nearly 5 hours to purchase a vehicle at Subaru of Rochester, and I would make the drive again in a heartbeat. From the get-go, Mike in the Sales department ensured a seamless experience, and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure the vehicle was exactly what I wanted, and even went the extra mile to install the vehicle's winter floor mats before I drove it off the lot. I never felt pressured, which took a lot of stress out of the car buying experience.

I recently purchased a used 2005 Toyota RAV4 from this dealership. They had just recently gotten it in and it was in the shop for pre-sale repairs when I came to look at it, but I was told it was in drivable condition. I test drove it and liked it, but the TPMS, VSC and check engine lights were on, and the electronic locks didn't work. There was a misunderstanding or miscommunication somewhere along the way that resulted in me thinking these were supposed to be fixed before sale and that they would cover the repairs of these issues even if I bought the car before they were done. I was apparently incorrect. They only intended to fix issues that created a safety risk for the driver, and none of these issues fit that criteria in their view. However, they still understood my situation and agreed to cover the repairs in question. I've had bad experiences with dealers in the past, so I never imagined I would find one capable of 5-star service, but Subaru of Rochester has done it.

Seamless process with extremely helpful staff. Not pushy and will show you any option they have. The follow-up makes you feel like family. I love my Subaru and haven't yet experience the shop area but expect it to be a pleasant experience as well.

Esad is a patient and knowledgeable salesman. First I drove a Forester and left after deciding it wasn’t the car for me. When I returned to drive an Outback, Esad remembered me and my preferences. When I decided the Outback was the right choice, he helped me set up the infotainment system, ensuring I was confident and comfortable when I drove away in my new car.

I recently purchased a Crosstrek from Subaru of Rochester, and Isaih Handy helped me out along the way. I was able to negotiate with him and his team respectfully. I felt like I was treated with kindness and generosity. I would highly recommend getting in contact with Isaih if you are interested in buying a vehicle from here. It has been over a month now since I purchased my vehicle, and he continues to be there for me when I need assistance. No one told me to write this review either, haha! They just deserve it. Cheers.

Every staff member we worked with was friendly, helpful and willing to work towards a win-win car-buying situation. I really appreciated the communication as I purchased my new outback over the phone with them. And they delivered my car to me so I didn't have to make a 4 hour drive to pick it up. there a lot of reasons why i love subaru PENZ Rochester MN, first they help abandoned animals find their new homes, second they have top notch good customer service especially to the manager Jake who helped me a lot with the process and also her assistant Emma who helped me choose crosstrek and lastly the overall comfort of the car itself not to mention the technology, interiors with the big screen and safety wise its superb more than what i need at a very reasonable price.

They helped me find the right vehicle for my needs. They were patient during my many visits and phone calls to the dealership. They gave me all the time I needed to read through the paperwork and gave me all the time I needed to ask questions. Visited many dealerships around Rochester for used car , Subaru is great , nice service, and good experience overall. Everything was clearly explained, all options presented and we got a good deal on the vehicle. Plus they offer 1 year service for oil change and tire rotation. Great dealership!

I traded in my Camry TRD for an Audi Q5 at Subaru of Rochester and had a really good experience. Isaih was great to work with! Very respectful, and not pushy at all. The whole trade in and purchase process went smooth, and he made sure everything was clear and fair. Really appreciated how they treated me throughout. We were attending Mayo Clinic appointments in Rochester MN. My 2022 Subaru Accent had issues and needed a coil replaced. Lauren in the service department was AMAZING!! She knew we had an upcoming appointment so she was in constant communication with the mechanic. As soon as she realized we would have trouble making the appointment time, she loaned us a car. They ended up keeping the car overnight waiting on parts, but she and the wonderful mechanic made sure they got us on our way first thing the next morning so we could begin our drive back to Rapid City South Dakota. Wonderful business and caring team members. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our 2018 Subaru Outback Radio touch screen started to separate in between the layers, so that the radio would not work and start to scan at random. The people at Rochester Subaru diagnosed the problem quickly, made arrangements to get a replacement radio and exceeded our expectations. If you want good, quality service where they really hear what you are saying, then thus is the place to come.

My partner just bought a Forester that had a few minor things it needed, so I brought it to the service dept here. Car had a rattle in the interior that was driving her nuts and we wanted a CVT drain and fill. Lauren was my service advisor and did a great job with keeping me informed with what was going on. Perfect amount of communication. Not too much not too little and answered my questions quickly. Sorry I accidently tried to steal the loaner keys that was my bad lol. Zach was the tech and props to him for finding the rattle. A lot of times these things are impossible to track down. It was such a light rattle I wasn't sure if they would be able to get it, but Zack came through. Mack (the car owner) is so relived it's gone you made her month. Like really, you have no idea how happy this woman is now that it's gone. Love the service videos they made with the inspection and showing where the rattle was. Made us feel like we got a good value for the money. I would have never gotten that dash back together without snapping trim piece clips. I also would have never guessed the dash was taken apart without he video, as it was put back together perfectly. They gave me a loaner with like 16 miles on it. I was a little nervous to drive a car that new lol, but I settled in nicely. Made for a very comfortable drive home. Glad I didn't peg a deer with it. If we ever need a bigger vehicle I will defiantly be looking at Accents and that incredible moon roof. I'm long winded sorry, but to warp this up, we feel a lot better about the new (to us) vehicle in the garage thanks to the work by Lauren and Zack. If either of you are reading this, thank you for taking care of us. We may not have bought here, but it's nice to know we'll be taken care of by professionals like y'all in the future. I'll be keeping an eye on the tie rods for now and make sure they aren't getting loose. Thanks again, Travis and Mackenzie Goraczkowski.

Esad was awesome. We’ve worked with him before. He’s helped us look at several vehicles and buy one before. I called Subaru and set up a test drive and then Esad called me back so that he could help me directly. The car was great and in great condition. It was clean which some other dealers in the area don’t seem to care too much about. They handled everything really smoothly and were super open to questions and feedback. An excellent experience, nicely handled by Esad. Would be happy to work with them again if I need another car.

The customer service at Subaru is superior to other dealerships. Regardless of your needs they will do their best to make sure they are met. They truly lookout for you, whether you are in the service department or buying a new car. The whole expereince from the service department, to the sales team, and financing was excellent! A coulple of names I want to mention. John the service manager took care of me, and it was much appreciated. Levi and Caleb helped me in the sales department, truly an awesome buying experience. Great dealership. I've purchased two (used) cars here. Really enjoyed the no pressure process. The service department is fantastic. They keep you informed, answer all of your questions, and give you time to make decisions. Plus they have all the amenities that most dealership service departments offer. I highly recommend Rochester Subaru for both auto purchases and service! 7/22/2025 Update: just traded in my used 2021 Outback Touring XT for a 2025 Outback Touring XT on a three year lease. Not only did I keep the same payment as my trade-in, but I'm getting a $3100 check back. Very simple process, no haggling, just a very good discount, $500 bonus on trade-in, cost of extended warranty on trade-in returned (pro-rated). All up-front with no request on my part. Just a really great dealership to work with! 7/25/25 Update: Oops. Forgot to mention that Issah was fantastic to work with. He offered several (many, actually) options to meet my requirements exactly and was very pleasant throughout. Was upfront about options that didn't meet certain of my requirements. Continued to ask questions and we finally found one that met all of my requirements. Shot out to Issah!

I go to Penz Subaru of Rochester because I like knowing a Subaru trained technician works on my Forester. When I arrived, they had done their homework and could tell me the other service items due besides the oil change/tire rotation, which I really appreciated. They offered me a complementary rental since the service would take longer than expected, even though I had my 6 month old puppy along for the ride! When I returned, the wild card coupon knocked a nice amount off the total which made the trip in for regular maintenance really manageable.

WE LOVED THE NEW STYLE SO MUCH WE ENDED UP TRADING OURS IN WITH A LOWER INTEREST RATE AND THE PAYMENT ACTUALLY WENT DOWN SOME. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! THE NEW OUTBACK IS AN AMAZING CAR AND WE LOVE IT!! We had a great experience at Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester, MN. Our sales person was Elliot and he was AMAZING! No high pressure sales…just a genuine interest in what we wanted/needed and a desire to ensure he got us into the right vehicle. It’s now been about a month since our purchase (a 2026 Subaru Forester - Wilderness Edition) so we’ve completed the sale, completed financing, and had our first experience with the parts department (for some add-ons), and Service Center (for installation). It’s the little things that make a big difference and Penz Automotive Group (Subaru) in Rochester leaves no stone unturned. From door attendants who greet you and open the door for you every time you visit, to service center employees who make themselves available to you during their lunch — this place is top notch! Collins was the service writer I worked with, and I am deeply impressed. Subaru begins with a series of questions, pinpointing your tastes, values, and desires. You are guided, not led, through this process. My answers mattered. When other dealerships made me feel poor, unimportant, and like they were doing ME a huge favor, Collins and the team at Rochester Subaru made me feel important, and they assured me that they will help me find a way to meet my needs and desires. They made this not only easy, but enjoyable. They have a great product and an even better team. And fun sidebar: a customer came in to leave them a tub of homemade cookies while I was there. They have, clearly, made an impression on more than just me. Even if you are Subaru-skeptical, I think you should at least shop here once the next time you are looking for a car, just so you know how a customer can and should be treated.

Car shopping can be stressful. But Subaru of Rochester made it a remarkably pleasant experience. The staff we dealt with included Jacob Hansen, Jeremiah Steege, Collins Kiyaga, and Amy Anderson. They were all friendly and professional. Jacob and Collins in Sales patiently explained the features of the 2026 Forester we were interested in. Amy discussed the assistance offered to learn about all the technology that comes with vehicles these days. Finally, Jeremiah went through all of the optional protection packages and processed our paperwork efficiently. Unlike many dealers, Jacob at Subaru of Rochester immediately provided us with the out-the-door price via email before we drove the two hours to Rochester. Also, there were no forced dealer add-ons, which still happens at other dealers. Getting the OTD price and no forced add-ons were HUGE to us! If you're looking for a vehicle, we highly recommend Subaru of Rochester. They earned our business with the perfect balance of promoting their products, but with a low-pressure approach. Great job to all!

I don't normally have my 2019 Subaru Forester serviced by Rochester Subaru. But this was something that was covered by an Extended Warranty. I am very pleased with the service I received. I was treated like a human being as opposed to a number and "one more job we have to get done today." John in the service department was especially helpful - getting me a loaner car since the job was going to take all day. They recommended two other service items but I was not prepared to do them so I said no thanks. That was the end of it, no pressure, no BS about the car blowing up the minute I drove it off the lot if they didn't fix those other items. They said the work would be covered by the extended warranty and it was. There was no "surprise" you do have to pay postage on the parts or something equally ridiculous. I would highly recommend Rochester Subaru service.

Everybody was very congenial and helpful. You do need more than one person who does the final sales pitch, signing papers, and accepting payment. Granted, we had a longer wait than what is usual, but you should have someone else who can also do this part. We had to wait over two and a half hours to do the final step before we were completely finished and could leave.

Got to work with Elliot last week. He was helpful without being pushy and was able to get me a fair value on my trade in and got me into a nice 2024 Crosstrek. The whole process was pretty easy and Elliot was responsive to questions. If I had to complain about anything, I guess an owners manual and a full tank of gas when I picked it up would have been nice, but those are pretty minor things in my opinion. I wouldn't hesitate to do more business here in the future. *Edit* The owners manual actually shipped to my house a few days after I took the car, so that's pretty cool. Thanks again!
