Introducing the 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid

Subaru has been finding ways to make its vehicles even more efficient while preserving their capabilities. One way is through electrification, which includes finding solutions that combine the internal combustion engine with an electric power source. Subaru is introducing the 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid to add another way of enjoying what’s out there is a compact, efficient package.
It starts with a next-generation Subaru hybrid powertrain. The latest version of this driveline is designed to integrate seamlessly into the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive architecture without any loss in capability. It combines the 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER engine and electric motors with the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). All told, this has a total system output of 194 horsepower. This driveline retains Subaru’s legendary off-road capability with enhanced efficiency, which is why all trim levels of the 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid are equipped with X-MODE, Hill Descent Control, and 8.7 inches of ground clearance.
A Subaru is not a Subaru without its EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which is standard on all 2026 Crosstrek Hybrids. The newest version of EyeSight operates more smoothly and quickly and under a greater range of conditions. These improvements include a wider field of view, updated control software, and the addition of an electric brake booster. EyeSight can identify cyclists and pedestrians at intersections sooner and, when necessary, alert the driver and apply braking to avoid collisions. Additional active safety features are available for the Crosstrek Hybrid, including Reverse Automatic Braking and Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Every 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid also includes Emergency Stop Assist if the driver becomes unresponsive to warnings while using Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control. The new standard safety feature will stop the vehicle, activate the hazard lights, and unlock the doors. Subaru Connected Services will then place a call to emergency services.
The 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid gets the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with navigation and Apple Maps compatibility. The Crosstrek Hybrid will also offer the Subaru 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system. The 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility with full-screen display.
Adding to the already handsome design of the Crosstrek, the 2026 Hybrid model will come in two new exclusive exterior colors called Sand Dune Pearl and Citron Yellow Pearl. Plus, the 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid model will wear a set of distinctive 18-inch dark gray alloy wheels.
