Here’s What All the 2025 Subaru Forester Easter Eggs Mean

Want to know a vehicle’s personality? Just look around. Some vehicles wear what are called “easter eggs.” They are subtle reminders of what this vehicle is all about. Whether it is honoring its past, showing off what’s possible, or just giving you a giggle whenever you see it. When you get inside the 2025 Subaru Forester, all you have to do is look around. There are plenty of easter eggs for you to enjoy. But what exactly are you looking for? What are they? And what do they mean?

For one, you will find a lot of references to topography. That is the art of charting elevations and land variances. These days, topography uses GPS coordinates to accurately measure these land variances.

You do not have to look far to see this. When equipped with a set of all-weather floor liners and rear cargo tray, the topographical theme comes into play. That same theme is found on rear seatback protectors, rear cargo area side panel protectors, front and rear door panel scuff protectors, and mud flaps. The accessories team at Subaru looked at topographical maps to design these floor mats and protective products.

These topographical maps are not from a random GPS survey. They actually come from real maps of our National Parks—not just one National Park, but almost every one across the country. For example, you may find one piece taken from Olympic National Park in Washington State and the other from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park in North Carolina and Tennessee.

The cargo area cover is a study of topography on its own. Especially in the Crosstrek, Forester, Outback, and Ascent, there is so much coverage that you might be inspired to either guess which National Park it came from or learn more about topography. Not only would you learn about topography, but these protective products will also keep your Subaru from any damage to the carpets and make cleaning your interior easier. Whether it is snow, mud, or dirt, these accessories are made to handle what you bring outside into your Subaru’s cabin. Subaru supports the National Park Foundation and the National Parks Conservation Foundation as part of the company’s Love Promise.

These protective products are available through our parts department specifically for your Subaru. You can also order them when you take delivery of your new vehicle. They come with a warranty, whether it is the basic New Car Warranty or the Genuine Subaru Accessories Warranty. Plus, these protective products are specifically designed to fit perfectly in your Subaru.

Also, if you look deeper around the 2025 Forester, you may also notice a few other details that will catch your eye. There are some easter eggs that depict images from the great outdoors tucked into various places throughout the cabin. For example, there are some boot prints, paw prints, and a compass as part of the plastic kick panels. If you look on the right rear wheel well of cargo area, you will find a telescope: Theres a camp lantern seen on the left rear wheel well of the cargo area. Plus, you will find a flock of birds flying on the glass
